Bhaveshkumar Kaswala

I grew up in India, where I completed my MBBS and internship in 2014. After graduation, I began working in a cardiothoracic ICU for two years, followed by a transition into internal medicine. However, I found myself missing the dynamic and challenging nature of intensive care, which led me back to ICU in 2021. During this time, I also successfully completed my MRCP(UK) exam.

My post-graduate experience has primarily been as a non-trainee, but my long-term goal is to pursue higher training to eventually become a consultant. In August 2022, I joined the ICU at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where I spent six months in neurocritical care and six months in the general ICU. I then transitioned to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, where I began my journey in anaesthetics.

I enrolled in the MSc Critical Care program by University of Edinburgh to deepen my knowledge and expertise in this field. I am incredibly grateful to RCPE for awarding me this scholarship, and I am deeply honoured for this opportunity to continue advancing my career.
