SAS Doctors

Why you should join the College to enhance your career as an SAS Doctor

The College is here to support you in your career as a specialist, specialty doctor, staff grade or associate specialist. With educational events, podcasts, and development opportunities, we have something of interest for every specialty.

We have a thriving SAS community at the College which is continuing to grow and get further involved in College activities. We believe it is vital that the needs of this skilled and valued workforce are recognised and respected, and we want you to help us shape our support for SAS doctors. Below you can discover why we're becoming the College of choice for physicians.

Specialty doctors can join us as a Collegiate, Associate, or Fellowship member, starting from as little as £5 per month.

Be the voice of SAS Doctors

We would like to highlight and champion the educational professional priorities of specialty doctors.  As a growing group with a strong voice, it is vital that the needs of this skilled and valued workforce are recognised and respected.

We want to support:
  • Building a sense of community and belonging

  • Increasing collegiate membership and election to fellowship with SAS workforce

  • Education bespoke to SAS doctors and  widening opportunity for inclusion

  • Supporting portfolio development and entry to specialist register

  • Encouraging education and clinical supervisor roles

  • Increasing involvement of SAS doctors directly with RCPE activity including examining for PACES

We welcome engaged and enthusiastic people who would like to become involved with increasing SAS activity within the college as detailed above.  If this is you, we would love to hear from you!  We are looking to form a bespoke committee covering a wide geographical area and specialty to support our group our voice and our future.
