Cullen Medal
Nominations are now open for the Cullen Medal.
Named in Honour of past President Dr William Cullen, the William Cullen Medal is occasionally awarded to a Fellow of the College for “the greatest benefit done to Practical Medicine”.

Nomination and selection procedure

Nominations are now open with a closing date of 18 August 2025.
Fellows should send a 300 word statement with details of the achievements of the Fellow that they would like to nominate for the medal. It is intended to be awarded to someone for “the greatest benefit done to Practical Medicine”. As such the individual is likely to already be of relatively high profile but all nominations will be considered. Please send nominations to Lindsay Paterson, Director of Global Engagement l.paterson@rcpe.ac.uk by 18 August 2025.
Nominations are accepted every four years and award recipients are determined by the President and Council of the College.
