The Aberdeen RCPE symposium is an annual educational event for clinicians and allied health professionals. The aim of this symposium is to educate and discuss current trends along with recent developments in General/Internal Medicine practice.
This symposium will appeal to Physicians, General practitioners, doctors is postgraduate training, medical students and allied health care professionals
The topics in this year’s symposium include collaborative work between primary and secondary care especially providing specialist care in community, interactions between medical specialities (focus on diabetes and cardiology) and recent developments in medical genetics including community genetic testing. The doctors in postgraduate training will present interesting cases and quality improvement projects.

All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online feedback survey. The survey will close 28 days after the event on 21 May 2025, with certificates being issued shortly after this.
Certificates cannot be issued after the survey has closed.

By Car
Please be aware that no parking facilities are available in the ARI site for the Suttie Centre but some limited Pay and Display parking is available on both Westburn Road and Ashgrove Road West. Alternatively First Bus run the X40 bus service which links ARI to the Kingswells and Bridge of Don Park and Rides.
Entering the city from the south or west, follow signs for the A90 (Fraserburgh and Peterhead). This leads round the ring road (Anderson Drive). Exit right (A9011) onto Ashgrove Road West, then turn right at the traffic lights onto Foresterhill Road and follow the signs to the Suttie Centre. From the north, Foresterhill is approached via the A96 (from Dyce and Inverness) and the A90 (from Peterhead) and thence to the A90 (North) Anderson Drive.

A taxi from the airport will cost around an estimated £22 leaving the airport and around £27 returning as there is a £5 drop off airport tax and from the train/bus station will cost around £10
By Bus
Stagecoach runs a number of buses linking Aberdeen city centre to the main entrance of ARI. Number 59 is the Hospital direct bus and leaves from Guild street outside St Magnus House, numbers 35 and 10 all leave from the Bus station in Union Square.
