Further Information
I have been a Fellow of the College for nearly 30 years and have seen the very slow evolution of membership diversity and opportunity. Momentum is gathering with raised awareness which should facilitate growth in diversity, progress in equality and increased visibility of what has been achieved to encourage people to participate.
I am the Heritage Trustee and Honorary Librarian at the College and worked with the library staff to look at connections with Slavery and Colonialism within the College and chaired the Next Steps committee looking at ways to improve the experience of International Medical Graduates both in the short and the long term.
My aim is to ensure that the College is joined up in its work and achieves an environment where equality and diversity are part of the very core of decisions and strategies for the College. This area is not an ‘add on’ but a ‘fundamental’.
