Dr Edwin Eshun

My interest in EDI is driven by personal experiences, a desire to diversify the profession, and a desire to improve healthcare outcomes for minority and marginalised groups. In my current role I have had the opportunity to present research we conducted looking at brain injury and other co-morbidities within a cohort of people experiencing homelessness. I hope to use this as a catalyst for further research exploring brain injury and inclusion. Outside of work I continue to mentor prospective medical applicants on the Social Mobility Foundation programme, something I’ve been doing for the last 5 years.

My current role is ST4 in Rehabilitation Medicine at Astley Ainsley Hospital, NHS Lothian.
