Biographical information:

Dr Aoife Duignan

I am a specialist trainee in geriatric and general medicine in South East Scotland. I have previously represented trainees at local and regional trainee committees, as well as having been a Vice Chair for Representation on the TMC. I have previously organised Core Medical Trainee teaching, and currently organise Geriatric Medicine training days regionally. I am interested in promoting the quality of internal medicine training, near peer support and supporting those planning maternity leave, return to work and LTFT training. 

Dr Kat Ralston

I am a specialist trainee in geriatric and general medicine in South East Scotland, and am currently working in the Western General Hospital. I am passionate about medical education, quality improvement and promoting kindness and compassion in the workplace. I am a member of the General Internal Medicine (GIM) Training Day Committee, which organises regular educational days for GIM registrars across South East Scotland.

Dr Charlotte Dewdney

I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2016 with an additional Neuroscience BMedSci. I then completed my Foundation training in Edinburgh and subsequently worked as a Clinical Development Fellow in medical education in Shetland, during which time I completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. I am currently working as an Internal Medicine Trainee (IMT) in Inverness and also hold a position as an Honorary Research Fellow with the University of Aberdeen.

Dr Sarah Gillespie

Since qualifying in Dundee, I have trained in North East England, where I’m working as a junior doctor. I’m currently a Teaching and Research Fellow undertaking a PhD in prognosis after exacerbations of COPD, aiming to improve palliative care and advance care planning. I will shortly return to training as a standalone IMT3 with the intention to apply for respiratory medicine.
