Since the COVID pandemic, there have been a number of other ‘emerging threats’ which have caused global concern. In August 2024, the WHO declared a public health emergency over a large epidemic of mpox in the DRC and several other African countries. The potential of a high consequence infectious disease can cause great anxiety and stress both at the front door of the hospital and also in primary care.
This webinar will aim to provide the following:
This programme will be of particular interest to anyone working in infection specialties, public health and GUM, alongside acute medicine, emergency medicine and general practice. This webinar is open to all levels consultants, trainees, students and AHPs and international audience.
We hope the audience will find the evening informative and enlightening, and be able to take something back to their everyday practice.

This event is open to all grades of medical, health care, scientific staff and to students.
Presentations will be available to delegates to catch up at your convenience after the live event from the online portal for up to 6 months. The access details sent by the RCPE to registered delegates in advance will give access to the catch-up talks after the event.
Certificates
All relevant events are approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To receive a CPD certificate delegates must have completed the online attendance register/feedback survey. The survey will close 28 days after the event, and certificates will be issued shortly after.
