I have previously completed my medical degree in 2020 amidst the COVID pandemic. Since then, I have gone on to complete the foundation training programme and subsequently started internal medicine training in Scotland.
I have an interest in Medicine for the Elderly as it represents such a broad spectrum of clinical systems whilst remaining grounded in holistic and realistic care. In order to achieve such care for patients, I have found the need to improve the breadth and depth of my knowledge. The MSc Internal Medicine Programme aptly fulfils the role as a foundation for me to develop on. The well-structured course alongside the flexibility of online tuition have been very valuable in helping me keep on top of my learning. Having completed one year of the MSc, I can confidently say that the course has positively influenced my clinical practice.
I am very grateful and honored to have been selected to receive this scholarship and will endeavour to make the most of this in my career. At present, I am looking to complete the MRCP exams and I hope to apply what I have learnt in further research and quality improvement in my workplace.
