Statement on Sudan
The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh has issued the following statement regarding the ongoing and dangerous situation in Sudan:
We stand with our Fellows and Members, and all healthcare professionals enduring the dangerous situation in Sudan.
We are concerned for the safety of our colleagues as they attempt to do their jobs, just as we are for all those in Sudan who rely upon them to protect their health and wellbeing.
It is unacceptable that health professionals should face barriers or violence as they work. We would implore all to respect humanitarian law, and to work towards a resolution to end the conflict.
