I became a consultant in 2010, and am a keen educator involved in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate training and allied health education. My educator roles, such as Training Program Director for Internal Medicine since 2018 for the Mersey region, and clinical teacher at the University Of Liverpool School Of Medicine, have consolidated my passion for medical education. Currently, I am the Respiratory System And Specialty Lead at the University of Liverpool and the Regional Specialty Advisor for Internal Medicine Health Education England Mersey region and have been conferred an Honorary Professorship at Chester Medical School, University of Chester.

I have international and regional roles in postgraduate training and medical education. Apart from this I am a member of the British Thoracic Society Tobacco Advisory Group and a member of the BTS Quality Improvement Committee. I am proud of the Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians in London and have been SIG member of the AMEE and am currently a member of the UEMS boards of specialities for Internal Medicine in Europe. I have organised internal medicine teaching and hands-on courses. I have coordinated, hosted, and chaired PACES exams both nationally and internationally.
