College Accommodation

The College bedrooms are now available to Fellows, Members and accompanying families at preferential rates.

Why not arrive early and stay overnight before a symposium or enjoy a weekend in the heart of the New Town of Edinburgh? Guests can relax in the shared lounge and have access to a communal kitchenette with dining facilities.

Location and accessibility

3rd & 4th floors of the College accessed via No 11 Queen Street.

Please note these are private rooms with no disabled access or overnight staff on duty. Guests will be provided with an access pin code to allow entry into the building after 18:00, please ask for details when booking. The bedrooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10:00, otherwise arrangements must be made with Reception. For security reasons exam candidates are not allowed to stay in College accommodation during an exam.

Family room with double bed & sofa bed. Ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Rate: £125. (07,08 & 09 March 2025 and 01-25 August 2025, price is £150)

Room 2

Double bed. Ensuite including a shower. Rate £125. (07,08 & 09 March 2025 and 01-25 August 2025, price is £150)

Room 3

Twin room featuring ensuite with shower. Rate £125. (07,08 & 09 March 2025 and 01-25 August 2025, price is £150)

Room 4

Double bedroom featuring ensuite with shower. Rate £125. (07,08 & 09 March 2025 and 01-25 August 2025, price is £150)

President's Suite

Double bedroom with separate sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. Rate £155. (07,08 & 09 March 2025 and 01-25 August 2025, price is £180)

How to book

Please e-mail reception@rcpe.ac.uk or call on 0131 247 3600 to book a bedroom. Payment will be taken by credit card over the phone. Rooms can be cancelled free of charge 48 hours before your booking.

  • 2 night stay minimum from a Friday 
  • Rates include VAT at a standard rate 
  • All rates are room only. There are cafes available on Hannover Street for breakfast, such as Urban Angel, Papii and Tani Modi. Head left as you exit the building.
