I completed my undergraduate in India in 2012 and moved to the United Kingdom a year later. I subsequently had to take 2 years out of clinical practice as I navigated the PLAB exams. Thereafter, I completed a Trust F1, F2 and a SHO Jobs in the Southwest of England. I identified an interest in Gastroenterology while working as a trust grade. I have completed research projects in gastroenterology which have been presented at national and international conferences. Subsequently, I have been accepted into Internal Medicine training in Aberdeen which is due to start in August 2019. The MSc Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh will complement my Internal medicine training in Aberdeen and will expand my knowledge in the field of medicine. I hope to utilize the knowledge that I gain in this course to help me pass the MRCP exams.
I am excited to win this scholarship provided for by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh as it will enable me to complete the MSc programme. I hope this course from the University of Edinburgh will lay a strong foundation for me in the field of medicine and provide me with the skills as I work towards specialising in Gastroenterology.
