The Welsh Government sought views on proposed changes to the Putting Things Right (PTR) process. Putting Things Right is the process through which concerns and complaints about NHS Wales are investigated. While the College welcomes in general terms the proposals, we also consider that NHS Boards and Trusts must continue to promote a culture of compassion and transparency which we consider will assist in ultimately reducing the number of complaints.

The Department of Health & Social Care sought views on proposals to expand access to take-home naloxone supplies. We support the proposed list of named services and professionals that can supply naloxone without a prescription.
In conjunction with the Royal College of Physicians of London, we responded to the Northern Ireland Department of Health consultation on Healthy Futures- A Strategic Framework to Prevent the Harm caused by Obesity. We strongly agree with the vision of the Strategic Framework and want to ensure that people in Northern Ireland have access to a fully funded obesity service.
