Dr Niall Ahern

I am currently working as a registrar in Medical Microbiology in Belfast and have accepted a national training number in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in Northern Ireland commencing in August 2024. I graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast and have a BSc in Medical Sciences with Respiratory Science from Imperial College, London. I am passionate about improving the working experience of medical trainees through widening access to educational opportunities. I am actively involved in medical education working to increase the confidence of trainees across specialities in successfully treating patients with infection.
