Monitor is leading a piece of work to understand what the future of the provider landscape could look like and how such future scenarios might be achieved, as part of the challenge set out by NHS England in The NHS Belongs to us all: A call to action.

Working in partnership with NHS England and the NHS Trust Development Authority, we are planning to hold a conference, followed by a wider programme of work to examine this question in more detail.

As part of this, we are interested in hearing from anyone who has an expert or informed vision of what a high quality, financially sustainable health care service might look like in ten years time, and how this vision would serve patients with differing health needs.

How to submit your ideas:
Submissions should be based on the assumption that NHS continues to offer universal access and is funded by the taxpayer and free at the point of need. Proposals should be no longer than 12 pages.

We propose to publish a selection of submissions in the autumn and contributors may be invited to present their visions at the conference. Each submission has the potential to influence the future of the provider landscape.
