I was born and raised in Myanmar. I graduated from the University of Medicine 1 in 2015. After graduation, I worked at a government facility, 200 bedded hospital, for 3 years. Then, I worked at the emergency department of Pun Hlaing Hospital, a JCI-accredited international hospital. While working at the emergency department, I earned a primary emergency care diploma from the University of Medicine 1 and passed the Royal College of Emergency Medicine membership exam. Now I have gained four years of experience in the emergency department.
Currently, emergency and critical care in Myanmar is in the state of infancy. I am keen to develop a nationwide international standard acute care service for all the people in my country and build a better healthcare system. I believe that this critical care master program will assist me to build an excellent foundation to become a well-knowledge and globally-minded acute care physician.
I am very delighted and honored to receive this scholarship from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. I look forward to continuing my career while attending this master course and immediately putting to use the acquired knowledge and skill sets.
