The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) and the University of Edinburgh’s online course, MSc Critical Care is now open for applications. The MSc Critical Care is delivered part-time over three years and teaches the essentials of the clinical management of critically unwell adults. You will also develop expertise in accessing, interpreting and integrating the findings of clinical research into clinical care.
The course is designed for doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals seeking to develop as independent practitioners and future leaders of healthcare change. It is delivered through a blend of online learning methods, including recorded video lectures, discussion forums and live Q&A sessions. RCPE scholarships are also available to support you with course fees. Kieran Robinson was awarded a 50% scholarship in 2020:
"I am hoping to keep developing my leadership and clinical skills, and would like to take on a clinical leadership role within my trust, helping develop clinical policy and investigating adverse incidents. My degree with the University of Edinburgh is helping me develop both of these skills and hopefully will help develop my career down this pathway. Being awarded the RCPE scholarship is a great honour and I am very proud of achieving it, and very grateful for the significant help this will provide."
The MSc Critical Care team will be holding a live information session on Tuesday 16 February at 7pm GMT, providing a valuable opportunity to learn more about the course and hear from current students on their experience so far. To register, visit the University of Edinburgh’s website. You can also find information relating to the course on their website.
