I was born and bred in Malaysia. I completed my pre-clinical training at International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur and I graduated with a MBChB from Edinburgh Medical School in 2018. After which I completed my foundation training in South East Scotland. I am currently a Specialty Registrar in General Practice in East of Scotland. I decided to become a family physician with a keen interest in internal medicine because I wish to apply my medical knowledge in primary care and be able to manage medical patients confidently in the community. I have completed the first part of MRCP and I am in the process of achieving the full MRCP diploma.
The MSc Internal Medicine has greatly supplemented my training in general practice by consolidating my medical knowledge and enhancing my research skills. The course has provided me an enjoyable platform to learn from the experts and interact with my colleagues.
I am extremely grateful and honoured to be awarded the RCPE scholarship. This recognition has fuelled my passion towards building a career as family physician with a special interest in internal medicine.
