I attended the University of Nairobi for my undergraduate (MBChB) degree, graduating in 2016, after which I completed one year of internship. I attained my postgraduate diploma in Preventative Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of South Wales. I am currently working as a medical officer in general practice, planning to pursue a career in internal medicine. Of particular interest is the area of non-communicable disease, where I hope to specialize in Cardiology or Nephrology.
The University of Edinburgh MSc will greatly complement my residency training and enable me to have a thorough grasp of the knowledge required to advance patient care. In addition to enhanced clinical acumen, this MSc provides a platform to conduct research which will be a great asset to my career as a scholar.
I am extremely grateful for having received the RCPE scholarship and thrilled to have the opportunity to pursue a degree at the University of Edinburgh.
