The Joint Royal College of Physicians Joint Training Board (JRCPTB) has issued the statement below regarding an email sent to trainees on junior contract negotiations:
It has come to our attention that a small number of trainees were contacted via their JRCPTB ePorfolio recently with an email from Health Education England concerning junior doctor contract negotiations.
JRCPTB was unaware of the intention to use ePortfolio in this manner, and would not have granted permission to do so.
We thank those who alerted us to this, and are currently investigating the matter.
