Since 1848 the College has been based in the historic buildings at 8 – 13 Queen Street. Following a £3.5m investment, we are now in an exciting phase of the College’s development with the recent launch of our International Conference Centre, our aspiration to become the Venue of Choice in Edinburgh and our emergence from Covid19.

This technical role requires expertise and provides support over two key areas, the facilitation and set-up of AV services for events with private clients run on a commercial basis and providing onsite AV and virtual support for meetings and events run within the College.

Essential:

  • A minimum of 1 year in a AV/Media Technician role
  • AV qualified to HNC Level or have significant experience gained through undertaking a range of Audio Visual Hardware work over time
  • Demonstrate an understating of underlying IT systems supporting AV, or an appetite to develop that knowledge and understanding
  • Some experience of audio production, multimedia, and digital media technology
  • Broad range of software skills with some experience of video editing, encoding and media conversion and creation
  • Working knowledge of video, PA, projection and streaming technologies
  • Awareness of practices and procedures relevant to conference and meeting environments
  • A good team player able to work collaboratively with colleagues and share expertise with them

Desirable:

  • Qualified to HND level or greater in AV subject or other relevant areas such as creative media production
  • Experience of the health sector and/or membership organisations

 

Remuneration Package

The salary for this role will be £25,092 per annum plus benefits.  Additional benefits include:

  • Pension: with employer contributions of 9%.
