I received my early education at the city of Multan in the south of Punjab province. I did my MBBS from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, the most prestigious and oldest medical college in the region. Later on I did my mandatory one-year clinical rotations as a House Officer at Mayo Hospital which is the teaching hospital of KEMU and one of the biggest tertiary care hospitals in the country.
I worked for a year in the gastroenterology department as a trainee medical officer at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in Islamabad.
I am currently doing the internal medicine part of my training towards attaining the Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and intend to go into gastroenterology after finishing my two years of core medicine specialty training.
I feel honoured at getting such a coveted scholarship with applicants from all over the world. I am really looking forward to joining the MSc program being in collaboration of two of the most prestigious institutions in the world i.e. University of Edinburgh and Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.
I really thank RCPE for considering me deserving of the scholarship. It will definitely go a long way in helping me become a better physician.
