My commitment, passion, and love for medicine are what enabled me to enter one of the most competitive medical schools in the Republic of Sudan. Throughout medical school, clinical experience, and research, the Internal Medicine specialty remains the one that has brought the most enthusiasm and zeal to my style of practice. After graduation, I worked as a resident in Syria in internal medicine and then cardiology, during which I passed my United States Medical Licensing Exams. In the USA, I got the opportunity to work in clinical research and do a year of training in advanced heart failure and publish many articles.
My love for internal medicine led me to volunteer to work as a medical books reviewer with the University of Oxford press. I have reviewed Oxford Handbook of Internal Medicine, Handbook of Nephrology and Hypertension and Handbook of Cardiology.
I am very delighted to attain this scholarship from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and thrilled for being awarded the opportunity to study the MSc in Internal Medicine through the University of Edinburgh, one of the world renowned institutions. I am very honored and grateful to the RCPE for this scholarship award.
This MSc program will help me expand my knowledge and gain an excellent learning experience that I need for a distinct, successful achievement in my medical career.
Finally, the saying “If you want to invest, invest in yourself” pushes me to keep learning and striving for further improvement.
