I attended the University of Edinburgh for my undergraduate degree, graduating in 2015 with my MBChB (Hons), the Mouat Scholarship and the Dorothy Gilfillan Prize. I am now working in general medicine, surgery, general practice and psychiatry in the West of Scotland deanery to complete my foundation training.
Since becoming a foundation doctor I have realised that I am very interested in clinical research and wish to pursue a career in general medicine and medicine of the elderly. This MSc program will give me a strong basis of skills and knowledge to aid me in my progression through my medical training and allow me to complete further research and study. I am looking forward to studying with the University of Edinburgh again, and am very grateful to the RCPE for providing me with this opportunity.
