The Remote and Rural Remedies project offers a unique insight into the provision of medical services and assistance in the Highlands and Islands region of Scotland in the 1800s.
This ‘Submit Your Own Survey’ section is open to all current and former medical practitioners based in the area and is intended to gather information to capture current experiences and provide a modern comparative context for the materials.
Questions are marked as either mandatory or optional and you can provide any information about your current or previous experiences that you choose, although we ask that you refrain from using identifying information relating to patients or other individuals in line with data protection legislation.
We want to ensure you are content with how the information you provide will be kept and used. The key points to note are summarised below:
The names of contributors will be retained for our records but removed from materials made available to users.
We will ask for your consent to preserve your survey within the archive and make it available to both archive users and online.
Terms of access will be subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other relevant data protection legislation, dependent on the content of your survey.
