Remote & Rural Remedies offers a new and varied perspective on life in the Highlands and Islands. Its core is a digitised and transcribed collection of surveys which were carried out by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh between 1850 and 1852.
This is accompanied by resources, which include interviews with doctors and nurses, school activities, blogs and videos.
Get involved by contributing your own survey, adding to the archive for future generations.
