The event features practical sessions to support you in your new role in the NHS and you will also have the opportunity to attend a welcome reception at the College. PACES Preparation: PACES Preparatory Course Mon 23 – Wed 25 Sep 2019 Mon 28 – Wed 30 Sep 2020 To support you in preparation for PACES, we run a three-day course in partnership with NHS Lothian Clinical Skills and Assessment Centre, on which our Fellows teach. Additionally, we will be running a number of events to support you before the first diet of PACES 2020. Introduction to Clinical Research including Critical Appraisal Wed 23 – Thu 24 Oct 2019 Tue 10 – Wed 11 Mar 2020 Tue 13 – Wed 14 Oct 2020 Aimed at early years’ medical trainees, particularly CMT2 and ST3, this two-day course will equip you with the knowledge of how research works, including study conception, funding, conduct, analysis and dissemination of results. 24 th Advanced Gastroenterology and Hepatology Course Thu 30 – Fri 31 Jan 2020 #rcpeGIHep20 This well-established course is aimed at senior medical, nursing, scientific and allied health professional staff in gastroenterology and hepatology, and features a day focused on each. Delegates can attend one or both days. Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Workshop Thu 12 Mar 2020 Thu 15 Oct 2020 This one-day course provides an introduction to the process of systematic review and meta-analysis. Aimed at early years’ medical trainees (CMT2 and ST3), you will receive an overview of concepts and methodology, and guidance to support further learning. Edinburgh International Course in Medicine of the Older Adult Mon 18 – Fri 22 May 2020 #rcpeOlder20 Run annually by the College, this popular course is designed to update experienced physicians, consultants and senior trainees in elderly medicine from across the world about developing areas in the specialty.
