18 July 2024

6pm - 8pm

This event celebrates the launch of our exhibition 'Wild & Tame: Animals in History'. The event will begin in our foyer with a wine reception. You will then have the opportunity to hear two speakers, Prof. Erica Fudge and Miss Anna Radford. Erica will discuss the interlinks between human and animal medicine in history while Anna will explore how human and animal healthcare can work together in the 21st century. The wine reception will then continue with tours of our new exhibition.

About the exhibition

Wild & Tame explores the history of animals, real and imagined, and their impact on human lives and culture. From unicorns and the first Renaissance animal encyclopaedia to Charles Darwin, our exhibition shows how humans exploited animals and how they cared for them, creating our shared history.
