One of the ways we do this is by letting our venue space commercially to support the College’s activity in educating and supporting trained doctors and doctors in training who are pursuing a career in specialist internal medicine.

A prestigious location in the centre of Edinburgh makes RCPE an ideal venue to host medical, association, corporate, wedding and private events. A vacancy has arisen for an Events Co-ordinator - Celebrations to join the RCPE Venue team.

 

The Role

Do you have the drive and passion to deliver exceptional events? The celebrations Events Co-ordinator is a key role within the venue team delivering of weddings, celebrations and internal ceremonial events held at the college.  

As an Events Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in organising our celebratory events offering, as well as fostering meaningful relationships with our existing internal and external clients. You will be an exceptional communicator, be able to prioritise your workload and have a passion for delivering world class events. Your positivity, inquisitiveness and work ethos will enable you to thrive in what is a high touch customer environment.

You’ll champion your area of work supporting our marketing team in social media activity,  keeping up-to-date with trends and peer activity. You will also be expected to support an annual programme of promotional events to grow enquiries.

The post holder will split their time between internal and external celebratory events. Please refer to the Job Description for the full details.

 

The Person

First and foremost, the venue is looking for a candidate with exceptional people skills who will ensure a high level of customer service: with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders – both internal and external.

The candidate will be skilful at finding a way to say yes in a customer centric environment, alongside event co-ordination experience and strong communication skills. Fundamentally, your insight, commitment and market knowledge will make you a vital part of the venue team.

Working within an agreed framework, there is a degree of independent working which requires excellent planning, time management and customer service skills.

 

Remuneration Package

The salary for this role will be £22,596 per annum plus benefits.  Additional benefits include:

  • Pension: with employer contributions of 9%.
  • Holidays: 23 days annual leave pro rata (with incremental increase over five years to 28 days) and 11 days public holiday/College close downs.
