Please find a statement below regarding the blast in Beirut, Lebanon:

The College is deeply shocked and saddened by the devastating blast in Beirut, earlier this week.

We offer our sincere condolences to the people of Beirut, particularly those who were injured by the blast, and those who have lost or are searching for loved ones. Those who have tragically lost their lives must be at the forefront of our minds.

The College sympathises with the anger that many people in Beirut are undoubtedly feeling, and we hope that the investigation can bring justice for those whom the blast has affected.

We would also offer our solidarity to the many healthcare and emergency workers who are working round the clock to treat those who have been injured by the blast - we are thinking of you at this time.
