Join our first UK network of Associate Regional Advisers

The College ensures that the voice of junior doctors is heard, with the intention to effect change and positive influence the professional lives of junior doctors throughout the country. To support and enhance our work in this area, we have launched a new Associate Regional Adviser (ARA) network, and are looking for enthusiastic UK junior doctors to join and represent their region!

The ARA network will work with our Trainees and Members’ Committee, one of the most active groups in the UK. Together you will help build networks and bring physicianly communities together in all regions of the UK to bring about the change you want to see across the profession.

You will link in with our 17 UK Regional Advisers, who are Fellows of the College who have specific geographical responsibilities for one of the 17 different areas across the UK. As an ARA you will be supported by your local Regional Adviser, and work alongside them to develop a strong ecosystem of College support for our current and future Fellows and Members.

Details of the full job description can be found below. The role is based around the following key areas:

  • Membership: Engage with local Members to identify their unmet needs, and promote the benefits and value of College membership which meet these needs
  • Education: Assist Regional Advisers in arranging local events to complement the College’s education and training programme
